What is plum+?

plum+ is a fee-based membership program offered by Indigo to customers at participating Chapters, Indigo, Coles, Indigospirit, and The Book Company locations, that gives customers exclusive benefits.


What are the benefits of the program?

The annual program fee includes the following benefits:

  1. Collect plum points on eligible purchases in-store and online, and redeem these plum points for instant savings
  2. Receive a 10% discount on the final pre-tax price on eligible purchases made in-store and online
  3. Free shipping with no minimum purchase (Some exclusions apply, see indigo.ca/freeshipping for details)

How can I join the program?

Sign up in-store or at indigo.ca (when available). To enroll, you must be a Canadian resident of the age of majority and provide your first name, last name, and valid email address. There is an annual fee for a 12-month membership.


Can I enroll in the program if I don't have an email address?

A valid email address is required to enroll in this program. We cannot accept members without an email address as this is how we communicate your member benefits. Of course, Indigo respects your privacy and you can opt out of receiving our promotional communications at any time.


What if I don't live near a participating store?

If you do not live near a participating store, you may sign up for the program at indigo.ca (once live). Your discount, point collection, and shipping are applicable at all Canadian locations and at indigo.ca. Special events may be offered in-store at participating locations only.


Can I share my card with my spouse/family?

Memberships are for individual use only and cannot be shared. Government-issued photo ID may be requested when making purchases or redeeming points.


What is the difference between plum+ and plum rewards?

plum rewards is free to join whereas plum+ has an annual membership fee. plum points can be collected and redeemed with both the plum rewards and plum+ program. Only plum+ members receive a 10% discount and free shipping. Click here for full details of the program benefits.


What if I'm currently collecting plum points? Can I bring my current plum points into the plum+ program?

Your existing plum rewards points will be transferred over to your plum+ card if you decide to become a plum+ member. After the 12-month term you will be automatically transferred back to the plum rewards program and will retain any points you collected if you choose not to renew.


Can I join the program if I’m currently a plum member?

Current plum rewards members may join the plum+ program for an annual fee for a 12-month membership. Your existing plum points will be carried over. If you decide not to renew at the end of the 12-month term, you will be automatically transferred back to the no-fee plum rewards card and retain all plum points you have collected.


How are plum points earned?

plum points will be awarded at the rate of 5 points for each dollar spent in-store and online at indigo.ca. Some exclusions apply, see indigo.ca/plum/ for full details.

What if I don’t like the plum+ program, can I cancel my membership?

You may leave the program at any time and your points will be transferred automatically to a no-fee plum rewards card; however, you will not receive a refund for any portion of the annual membership fee.


What happens to my plum+ membership and benefits at the end of my enrolment year?

The plum+ membership is a 12-month program starting on the first day of your enrollment. The membership will expire, and the program will end, one year from the first day of your enrollment. At the end of the 12-month program, members will have the option to renew their plum+ membership, continue with the no-fee plum rewards program, or deactivate any of their Indigo Loyalty accounts. Existing plum points will be transferred from the plum+ account to a no-fee plum rewards card automatically should you choose not to renew your plum+ membership.
